Robert Half IT Project Manager in Provo, Utah
Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and oversee complex technology initiatives for our client. This role will focus on managing the implementation and integration of various systems, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals. This is a 12-month contract position working on-site 5 days a week in Provo, Utah, that requires a hands-on approach to project management using agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of systems such as admissions platforms, virtual learning environments, and research management tools.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including risk assessments, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate stakeholder involvement
• Utilize metrics and dashboards to deliver executive-level insights into project progress and performance.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to maintain project momentum and avoid delays.
• Ensure the successful delivery of custom applications using platforms like Microsoft Power Platform.
• Organize and lead meetings to maintain transparency and alignment among all project participants.
Requirements
Formal education or equivalent professional experience in a technical, analytical, or operations-focused discipline
8+ years extensive experience leading complex, multi-phase technology or systems initiatives
Demonstrated ability to guide projects from early planning through full operational rollout
Strong working knowledge of contemporary project delivery approaches and tools, including iterative and plan-driven methods
Experience coordinating work across multiple teams, functions, and stakeholder groups
Proven ability to support high-visibility initiatives that require structured planning and risk management
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present progress and risks to senior stakeholders
High attention to detail related to timelines, dependencies, and execution readiness
Professional training or credentials related to project or program leadership preferred
