Charter Care Health Partners Supervisor, Pharmacy Purchasing in Providence, Rhode Island

Summary: The Pharmacy Senior Buyer is responsible for coordinating workflow and services related to drug and equipment / supply procurement processes. These responsibilities include the initiation and management of the 340B program, high-level purchasing support for primary vendor engagement, oversight of the annual Cancer Center medication spend, contract alignment, DSCSA initiation and management, month end and accounting responsibilities as well as oversight of pharmacy technicians, including the Pharmacy Technician Inventory Specialist and / or site purchasers.

Licensure: Must have either a current Rhode Island Pharmacist license or a current Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician License.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic office equipment including copiers, fax machines, and computers.

  • Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to organize and communicate clearly.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information

    Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated area with exposure to hazardous waste and chemicals. He/she must meet annual safety training requirements and health test requirements such as annual TB testing. Required lifting or moving objects weighing 25 pounds from time to time.
