West Virginia Employer Lifeguards in Princeton, West Virginia

Minimum age 18. $12.00 to $14.00 per hour DOE. The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons at the City Pool and/or the WavePool by maintaining constant surveillance of the water and surrounding areas. Lifeguards enforce facility rules, respond quickly to emergencies, and provide excellent customer service to park guests while maintaining a safe and welcoming recreational environment. Qualifications Current Lifeguard Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as the American Red Cross or equivalent. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Ability to pass required lifeguard skills and swimming tests. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong observation and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly with patrons and staff. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Dependability and strong sense of responsibility. Work is performed primarily outdoors at an aquatic facility. Lifeguards may be exposed to sun, heat, humidity, water, and moderate noise levels. **Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
