S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. Software Development Engineer in Test in Princeton, New Jersey
DESCRIPTION: S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test who will develop automation scripts that meet organization standards. Build reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses. Leverage tools and frameworks to build automation scripts with quality code to simplify testing scenarios. Design and develop test plans and test cases based upon functional and design specifications, execute test cases, and analyze and report test results to the teams. Build efficient solutions for web services, application programming interfaces (APIs), databases, and mobile testing requirements. Participate in functional, system and regression testing activities. Contribute to identification, creation, execution, and automation of test scenarios with quality-first mindset. Ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process from requirement gathering to production release. Support and implement Quality Assurance Metrics architecture within scrum teams. Independently implement in-sprint test automation and performance across team deliverables.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related IT field plus one (1) year of experience in test engineering, software engineering, or a related occupation. One (1) year of experience must include: Design and development of automated tests using automation tools (Selenium, Appium) with exposure in testing across the application layers (UI/Service/Data layers/Mobile); Refactoring test automation/performance suites; Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices and experience in Agile methodology; Developing test plans and test cases, engaging in exploratory testing, and creating and maintaining defect reports.LOCATION: 1 Independence Way, Princeton, NJ 08540 (Telecommuting permitted within normal commuting distance of Princeton, NJ office)SALARY RANGE: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $109,264 to $139,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
