SRI International Process Engineer (IT Applications) in Princeton, New Jersey
Overview
The Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for a Process Engineer (IT Applications) to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits). Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) and Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) programs, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system.Look at our work! Responsibilities
With an interest in learning about integrated circuit manufacturing and the IT Applications that support the process, responsibilities will include:
Maintain and improve IT Applications systems that support Microcircuit manufacturing.
Work with staff across all group disciplines to understand current process methodology and implementations related to IT systems.
Sustain, improve, and optimize IT applications systems to support operational activities.
Work in cross functional teams (Engineering, Integration, Design and Layout) to implement IT Applications systems.
Data collection, correlation, interpretation, and presentation of information to management and co-workers.
Design and implement scripts to automate server and infrastructure tasks.
Develop database backup and recovery strategies and implement access control policies and encryption mechanisms to enhance database security.
Qualifications
BS in electrical engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field
OR 4 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Due to Government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Knowledge of computer network systems and ability to maintain current networks and diagnose issues.
Past use of MESA TRACS is desired.
Basic front-end technical skill set or UX skills HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
MySQL/MySQL workbench and database design.
Knowledge or experience with Laravel framework.
Must be familiar with software programming concepts and software architecture.
Ability to document problems and solutions.
Knowledge of schematic diagram, PLC, and ladder logic would be considered advantageous.
Demonstrated analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
The salary range is: $68,873-$84,636. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
