Packaging Associate - Meat Processing FacilityPosition SummaryThe Packaging Associate is responsible for packaging, labeling, and preparing meat products for distribution in a fast-paced production environment. This role ensures all products meet quality standards, accurate labeling requirements, and comply with USDA and food safety regulations.Key Responsibilities- Package meat products according to specifications and production schedules- Label products accurately with weight, date, and product information- Inspect products for quality, freshness, and defects- Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area- Follow all USDA, HACCP, and food safety standards- Work with team members to meet daily production goals- Report any product or equipment issues to supervisorsQualifications- Previous packaging or production experience preferred- Experience in food or meat processing is a plus- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures- Good teamwork and communication skillsPhysical Requirements- Ability to stand for extended periods- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly- Perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms- Comfortable working in cold and wet environmentsWork Environment- Refrigerated production areas- Fast-paced, production-driven setting- Exposure to machinery, sharp tools, and cold temperatures
