Overview
The Department of Aviation Technology (AVTE) in the S.J. and Jessie E Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator. This role will coordinate program initiatives at USU Eastern in collaboration with resources at the Main/Logan campus. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position that will require aviation program-related travel (3-4 times per month - predominantly day trips).
Responsibilities
Leads and coordinates events, such as aviation outreach and community events (including summer youth camps), open houses, fundraisers, tours, banquets, and exhibits.
Oversees communication strategies in collaboration with AVTE/College marketing team: which may include development of promotional materials, newsletters, social media content and public outreach to specifically emphasize aviation programs available at statewide locations.
Responds to requests for information from the media and public; distributes promotional materials, including flyers, and brochures; and prepares and presents information to internal and external sources regarding the Aviation Technology programs at USU.
Collects and analyzes AVTE data to improve student and program outcomes with specific emphasis on USU Eastern and Statewide campuses.
Coordinate student workshops/information sessions. Assists with program records, handbooks and AVTE procedural documentation.
May train and direct student, employees, and volunteers.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
Associate degree plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
