Job Summary and Responsibilities

Responsible for performing all aspects of general, neuro, and interventional radiography in multiple settings on

multiple patient types. Settings include but are not limited to the ED, OR, IR, inpatient and outpatient, with little

or no supervision.

  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc).

  • Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (ifappropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.

  • Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)

  • Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.

Medical Radiographer: AZ

Basic Life Support - CPR

Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT

Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or

Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or

Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or

Registered Technologist Mammography, or

Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or

Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or

Registered Technologist Quality Management, or

Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or

Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, or

Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, or

Preferred

Six months radiology experience
