HOW YOU MAKEAN IMPACT:
Apply manufacturing engineering and project management skills to plan, coordinate, and implement cost effective manufacturing processes that integrate equipment and personnel for CCF products.
THE DETAILS:
Support existing production lines
Proficient in various processes through training and experience
Handles atypical assignments as needed
Follows established procedures and may suggest approaches for new tasks
Works independently with minimal supervision
Offers informal guidance to junior team members
Resolves uncommon production issues using precedent or procedure
Addresses equipment, efficiency, quality, and safety problems
Develops operational standard costs and capable processes
Identifies improvement opportunities and implements corrective actions
Improves gauging methods and interprets technical prints
Requests necessary supplies and tools
Maintains department tools and gauges
Project Management
Prepares project scopes and timelines
Manages changes to schedule, scope, and cost
Sets priorities and coordinates resources to meet milestones
Communicates effectively and proactively with stakeholders
Documents status and manages dependencies and constraints
Assists with CCF Design Engineering
Supports engineering processes at Merit
Collaborates on product implementation or modification
Provides DFM feedback to the design team
Helps qualify suppliers and ensure inspections
Collects data on non-conforming products
Looks for efficiency improvements
Preferably experienced with sheet metal parts, assemblies, machinery, and hydraulics
Communication and Documentation
Explains technical concepts in simple terms
Shares information clearly through conversations and documentation
Promotes open, timely communication and encourages idea sharing
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
B.S. in Engineering required
Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred.
3+ years relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience in metal fabrication, machining, and welding (MIG & TIG) desired.
Skilled in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and manufacturing building requirements.
Ability to establish and align proactive plans and resources to meet business needs.
Experience with quality process setup, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Proficient in statistical analysis and innovative problem solving.
Timely, professional, and high-quality work completion.
Strong written and verbal communication conveys technical and non-technical information clearly.
Creative, collaborative team player with global teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management software (SAP preferred).
Availability:
Available to work on site as required by job; if necessary, eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks’ duration.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $76,000 to $95,000 . Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
