AON Junior System/DevOps Engineer in Prague, Czech Republic

This role is part of Aon Impact Forecasting team, a team of scientists, developers and client services colleagues together developing and supporting catastrophe models for various perils including flood, windstorm, earthquake, wildfire or terrorism.

We are looking for a person to join our Client Solutions team! We seek an enthusiastic system engineer skilled in DevOps who will work closely with our development team and support applications on Azure cloud.

What the day will look like

  • Development and operations of automated pipelines for Azure cloud

  • Monitoring , maint e n ance and troubleshooting of systems and servers

  • Deployment of service releases, patches, requests and customizations

  • Problem determination and resolution, root cause analysis, major incident management

  • Support cloud-based, web- based and app-based IF software solutions and APIs

  • Cooperation with IT/Security teams to develop robust on-prem, on-cloud and hybrid platforms

  • C ooperation with internal technology teams on implementation of Terraform templates

  • Co llaboration with our project teams on regular application releases

    Skills and experience that will lea d to success

  • Knowledge of cloud computing principles ( preferably Azure )

  • P revious experience with CI/CD process and IaC ( preferably Terraform )

  • Git and branching strategies

  • Azure DevOps and GitHub

  • K nowledge of Docker

  • K nowledge of any programing language and willingness to learn others

  • Previous experience with IdP integrations is a plus ( preferably Okta)

  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems and security

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written English, other languages are also welcome ( some Czech is an advantage as the core team is based in Prague)

  • Technical and analytical mindset , willingness to learn new technologies
