R&D Regional Systems Functional Expert (f/m/x)

in Mars Global Services, R&D Depertment

Location: Poland GSW/GSP or Hungary

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Provide system support for business users (Key/End Users), acting as a second-level escalation for end users and first-level escalation for Key Users.

  • Partner with development and technical teams to analyze and resolve system incidents and defects, including active participation in “Code Red” incident response.

  • Review service performance (incident trends, SLAs) and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.

  • Manage and engage the Key/End User community and business stakeholders by leading communities of practice and fostering continuous improvement.

  • Design, maintain, and deliver end-user training programs, including training curricula, materials, onboarding, refresher sessions, and hyper-care support.

  • Ensure governance of business processes and data quality, provide audit support to Key Users, and collaborate with global and segment process owners to close compliance gaps.

  • Manage system changes (CIPs and new capabilities): creation of change requests, coordination of testing, implementation, and validation against business requirements.

  • Own UAT and end‑to‑end testing prior to new functionality rollouts and support MDT teams with impact assessments of system changes.

  • Contribute to global and regional new capability prioritization by providing functional and business input.

  • Support new capability deployments as a functional owner: partner with Project Managers, define and validate business processes and RACI, coordinate data-related activities, and manage unit-specific changes.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, IT Systems, Food Safety, Food Science, or a related field (preferred).

  • At least 5 years of experience in R&D, Quality, R&D/Quality Systems, Supply, or Digital Technology / Business Partnership roles.

  • Proven experience working with R&D or Quality systems and supporting business users in a complex, global environment.

  • Solid understanding of Mars signature processes (Quest, QES, TRL, FEF) and Mars Quality & Food Safety standards.

  • Strong functional and technical capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

  • Experience in change management, including UAT, end‑to‑end testing, and support of system deployments.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues, manage escalations, and drive continuous improvements.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills; able to build trust and influence across teams remotely.

  • Strong customer focus with a track record of delivering consistent results.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required.
