Aerotek Cable Assembler in Poway, California
Cable Assembler - Poway, CA - 1st & 2nd Shift Openings- $25.94-$27.26/hr
Job Description:
1st Shift (5AM-2:30pm) and 2nd Shift (3pm-12:30am)
Build various cables that are used in the aircraft and ground control stations.
Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
Following and comprehending assembly drawings or written work instructions.
Crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling.
Label assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications.
Soldering-tinning wire, splices, (lap/hook) connections.
Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly.
Using basic hand tools, cutters wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, heat gun.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Experience Needed:
Must have 3+ years of experience within manufacturing
Must be able to understand drawings/blueprints
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with cable assembly and/or cable harnessing.
Ability to crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tools.
Good visual perception and ability to distinguish colors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of computer operations and applications relevant to the position.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Work Environment
Work in a world-leading company specializing in remotely piloted aircraft and advanced surveillance systems. Benefit from a 9/80 work schedule with opportunities for overtime. Dress code includes long pants, no loose clothing, and close-toed shoes. Each assembler will have their own workbench and necessary tools. The work environment is calm, quiet, and organized, with restrictions on personal electronics for safety and focus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $27.26/hr.
