Tesserais seeking an experienced General MaintenanceWorkerlll.The General Maintenance Worker III (GM-3) performs skilled to highly skilled work in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plumbing, electrical, structural, grounds, and equipment. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters. Responsible for replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors. Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings. Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected oradditionalrepairs anddeterminingcustomer needs. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure completed work meets quality control standards. Use portable handheld electronic devices to manage work. Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors. Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates. Qualifications: Highschool Diploma/GED isrequired. Minimum 3 years of closely related experience. Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred. Ability to learn a wide variety ofbuildingandgroundmaintenance. Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability toperformthe following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance. The physical demands of this position may bereasonably accommodatedfor individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
