Our client, a leader in manufacturing and metal fabrication, is seeking a dedicated Fabrication Technician to join their team. As a Fabrication Technician, you will be an essential part of the production process, supporting the manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and physical stamina, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Fabrication Technician / Cut Off Operator
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Pay Range: $23.00/hr
Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 6:00am - 12:00pm
What's the Job?
Operate multiple cutting and fabrication machines simultaneously, ensuring smooth workflow.
Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and technical drawings accurately.
Set up and run automated and manual machines efficiently.
Perform quality control checks on parts, verifying dimensions, angles, and material specifications.
Move and handle heavy materials, maintaining safety and organization in the workspace.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 1 year of experience in cutoff or metal fabrication work.
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Proficiency with hand tools, grinders, and basic mathematical skills.
Physical strength and stamina to stand for extended periods and move heavy materials.
Credentials: 100042, 100069, 100065, 100067 (or equivalent certifications).
