Manufacturing Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will manage the coordination of all paperwork related to shipping and receiving. The selected candidate will have prior experience and a strong knowledge for how shipping and receiving works and wiill makes a conscientous effort to have all procedures followed in a warehouse environment. Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Receives and records all documentation for all goods and verifies the accuracy of the count of all items unloaded; checks against suppliers' count and immediately reports discrepancies to necessary parties
  2. Responsible for the accuracy of the receipts in the ERP system.
  3. Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
  4. Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
  5. Notifies necessary parties of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
  6. Prepares bills of lading and dray tickets for shipments.
  7. Completes information on damage claims.
  8. Performs other clerical duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Ability to accurately review and record information per.
  2. Understanding of warehouse procedures.
  3. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  3. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
