Job Title: Demolition Crew Member
Job Description
Join our team as a Demolition Crew Member, where you will be responsible for dismantling concrete, drywall, and other building materials. You will also engage in debris removal and operate both hand and power tools safely. This role may require the operation of large equipment such as skid steers and loaders.
Responsibilities
Dismantle concrete, drywall, and other building materials.
Remove debris safely and efficiently.
Operate hand and power tools.
Possibly operate large equipment like skid steers and loaders.
Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel.
Follow all standard operating procedures during demolition and cleanup.
Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
Clean tools, equipment, and the work area.
Complete specific projects, assignments, and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of construction experience.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Possession of DBIDS and REAL ID.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor and construction.
Familiarity with jackhammers and concrete demolition.
Knowledge of building teardown and abatement processes.

Work Environment
Work takes place both outdoors and indoors, in all weather conditions. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm, with some Saturdays required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
