In this role, you will: Serve as a trusted advisor by partnering with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders across BPA to understand their needs and recommend innovative solutions for executive-level approval. Shape the future of Finance by providing expert analysis and strategic recommendations for developing and implementing major process improvement and quality management initiatives. Lead collaborative workshops to map out our current business processes and design the future, creating a clear path forward for enhanced capabilities and efficiency. Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams, translating strategic vision into technical reality and navigating tradeoffs to ensure solutions are both powerful and user-friendly. Guide and advise technical staff on project execution, ensuring business implications are understood at every stage and fostering seamless collaboration. Influence critical project decisions by providing the essential data, options, and recommendations needed to meet milestones and achieve strategic goals. Shepherd key projects to success by monitoring progress, proactively identifying and resolving obstacles, and recommending corrective actions to keep initiatives on track. Champion change across the organization by developing and delivering compelling presentations to a wide range of audiences, from front-line staff to executives, to build consensus and drive adoption of new processes. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) analyzing an organization's business processes to document current and future states and recommend process improvements; 2) applying project management principles to monitor project timelines and milestones, prepare project deliverables, and facilitate communication between technical and business teams; and 3) assisting in the implementation of business or technology projects by assessing change impacts, communicating with affected user groups, and helping to develop standard operating procedures or training guides. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
