Job Title: Lead A&P Mechanic
Job Description
This long-term A&P Mechanic opportunity offers a stable career in aviation, focused on maintenance of corporate and business jet aircraft in a service center environment. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, service bulletins, and occasional AOG work on aircraft such as Falcon, Beechcraft, Citation, Cessna, Gulfstream, and other business jets.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on corporate and business jet aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, service bulletins, and company procedures.
Read and interpret service bulletins, technical data, and work orders to determine the scope of work and required actions.
Coordinate daily tasks and maintenance activities with maintenance control and the maintenance leadership team to ensure efficient workflow and aircraft turnaround.
Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform removals, repairs, and installations on mechanical, structural, and avionics systems.
Remove, repair, and install aircraft components, including mechanical, structural, and basic avionics systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Troubleshoot discrepancies on corporate and business jet aircraft, including models such as Citation, Dassault Falcon, Cessna, and Gulfstream, and determine corrective actions.
Document all maintenance performed in accordance with regulatory and company requirements, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work records.
Support occasional AOG maintenance events as needed, which may include rapid response troubleshooting and repair to return aircraft to service.
Collaborate with other technicians and departments within the service center to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient hangar environment.
For the Lead Technician role, provide technical guidance, coordination, and oversight to other technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to schedules.
Essential Skills
Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
At least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Minimum of 1 year of corporate aircraft maintenance experience.
Ability to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on corporate and business jet aircraft.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting service bulletins, maintenance manuals, and work orders.
Hands-on experience with mechanical, structural, and basic avionics systems on aircraft.
Capability to troubleshoot issues on aircraft types such as Citation, Dassault Falcon, Cessna, Gulfstream, and other business jets.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work effectively on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred 3+ years of experience on large general aviation, corporate, or regional aircraft.
Experience working in a corporate aircraft or business jet service center environment.
Familiarity with maintenance operations on aircraft such as Falcon, Beechcraft, Citation, Cessna, Gulfstream, and similar platforms.
Experience in troubleshooting complex mechanical and avionics issues on corporate aircraft.
Interest in career growth into advanced AOG roles or supervisory positions.
Strong communication and coordination skills when working with maintenance control and other departments.

Work Environment
You will work primarily in an aircraft hangar service center located at Portland International Airport (PDX), operating in a professional MRO environment attached to a new, high-end FBO. The schedule is a day shift, Monday through Friday, typically from 07:00 to 16:00, providing consistent hours and predictable routines. Most work takes place inside the hangar, with occasional outdoor tasks on the flight line when aircraft operations require it. The environment is centered around corporate and business jet maintenance, using standard aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic resources in a structured, safety-focused setting.

The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $93600.00/yr.
