Aston Carter HR/Payroll Specialist in Portland, Oregon

⭐HIRING! Talented Payroll/Human Resources Coordinator⭐

We’re seeking an HR & Payroll Specialist to support biweekly payroll, benefits administration, HRIS data, and day-to-day HR operations in a growing organization. This role is ideal for an early‑career HR professional who enjoys payroll, employee support, and process improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Process biweekly payroll and review time records, adjustments, and deductions

  • Administer benefits enrollment, changes, open enrollment, and audits

  • Respond to employee questions on payroll and benefits

  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Paylocity preferred)

  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and partner with Finance

  • Support HR reporting, compliance, onboarding, and HR projects

  • Assist with policy updates, audits, and system improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 1–4 years of HR and/or payroll experience

  • Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS/Paylocity experience a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.50/hr.
