Kroger Family of Companies DIV ASSET PROTECTION ASSISTANT MANAGER in Portland, Oregon
Execute company standards and initiatives within the division to reduce asset loss. Support division goals, strategies and action plans for implementation of company/division Asset Protection (AP) initiatives. Coach and train district coordinators in all aspects of asset protection. Identify division AP initiatives in collaboration with corporate and division Operations management and identify trends for such initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead directly assigned high-risk district AP manager(s) on internal and external investigations, audits, AP training programs, physical security and capital improvement expenditures
Assist with development and coaching of all other district AP managers
Manage activity, reports and technology to identify potential opportunities and take preemptive actions in Direct Store Delivery (DSD), Reclaim, Warehouse, Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) and Center Store shrink
Lead roll-out activities for development and implementation of all division asset protection related programs and initiatives
Assist with AP audits, results follow-up and additional coaching in assigned districts
Collaborate with front end specialists and district coordinators as a team to identify and implement asset protection initiatives to assist in reducing shrink
Assist the division AP manager in the selection and interaction with AP vendors to ensure capital expenditures and repairs are delivered and installed to company specifications
Work collaboratively with division and store management to achieve division AP goals
Maintain working relationships and represent the company's interest with local, state and federal law enforcement
Utilize reporting systems to ensure that the plans are implemented and producing the desired results
Travel to stores regularly to ensure execution of AP initiatives; maintain availability after hours and on weekends
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum *
3+ years multistore format retail asset protection or equivalent experience (shrink, operations, etc.)
Excellent operational, consultation and problemresolution skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
High integrity, demonstrated sound business judgment and ability to maintain confidential information
Success collaborating/influencing across all organizational levels

Bachelors Degree
3+ years multistore format retail asset protection experience
Knowledge of enterprise systems: FCB, CAO, CAO Plus, SON, KCMS, E40, Quick Applications
CPP or CFI Certification
Wicklander Certification
