Job Title: Cook Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cook Assistant to join our team and support meal preparation efforts. You will play an integral role in maintaining inventory, scheduling the cooking team, and ensuring smooth operations within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation and ensure quality and efficiency.
Inventory and store incoming food supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization in storage areas.
Move and lift stock and equipment as necessary to support kitchen operations.
Help schedule the cooking team and communicate schedules effectively.
Collaborate directly with the lead cook and support their tasks.
Coordinate with food banks to manage leftover food responsibly.
Order products for inventory and manage stock levels efficiently.
Utilize a computer to document any inventory issues and maintain records accurately.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in cooking and food preparation.
Ability to work as a line cook and dishwasher effectively.
Strong cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards.
Comfortable lifting ingredients weighing up to 30 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with kitchen inventory management.
Experience scheduling team shifts and communicating effectively.
Proficient computer skills for documentation purposes.

Work Environment
The position is based at the Gresham facility, offering shifts from Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for a duration of 12 weeks.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
