Driver Orientation & Simulation Trainer
Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) – Located in Porter, Indiana (On-Site position)
Join ATS as aDriver Orientation & Simulation Trainerand help new and current drivers start strong! If you enjoy teaching, technology, and working with people, this role blends classroom training, onboarding coordination, and simulation-based driver development.
What You'll Do
Lead safety, DOT, and operational training sessions, in classroom
Facilitate classroom and simulator-based instruction, and live road testing
Coordinate onboarding documents, testing, and training logistics
Assess driver skills and track progress
Maintain simulation equipment and troubleshoot issues
Transport drivers and assist with cargo checks, crane training, and Qualcomm training
Support ATS values, policies, and driver experience
What You Need
High school diploma (college preferred)
2+ years training facilitation (preferred)
MUST HAVE ---Tractor-trailer driving experience +active CDL-A
Knowledge of Heavy Haul securement or willingness to learn
Understanding of DOT regulations (preferred)
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Comfort with mechanical systems, software, and simulation tech
Ability to travel infrequently, including occasional overnights
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated starting base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $72,500 DOE; full salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
