Supply Chain Leadership Intern
Location: Port Wentworth, GA
Hourly Rate: $25

What You'll Do
Work in a hands on environment learning multiple roles in the warehouse and applying your learning lessons to real business challenges
Enhance your ability to oversee warehouse operations and manage frontline employees effectively through learning and development initiatives.
Improve your delegation skills by effectively assigning tasks, setting targets, and evaluating staff performance to optimize productivity and achieve organizational goals
Learn to supervise proper shift allocations and ensure efficiency of all warehouse staff.
Collaborate with the team to ensure the optimal functionality and safety of warehouse tools and equipment, while strictly adhering to all legal and safety protocols
Work effectively with other managers within a functional team.
Lead targeted initiatives as delegated, demonstrating tangible business impact and measurable results.
Proactively think beyond the explicit assignment to ask second-order questions and identify additional analytic needs.
Develop expertise in your area of focus to become a credible company expert, capable of providing accurate and clear answers to inquiries or knowing where to locate information.
Learn to effectively prepare and run internal meetings with supporting analytics and data.
Undertake and complete a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification process and present your findings on operational challenges to the senior leadership team.
What You'll Need
Have completed your Junior or Senior Year of study
Demonstrate a commitment to learning safety and legal documentation processes for warehouse activities, including but not limited to: MSDS, Equipment checklist, and BOL.
Show enthusiasm for learning the Warehouse Management System.
Exhibit eagerness to improve leadership and administration skills.
Display a willingness to learn motivational techniques, effective team building strategies, and decision-making skills
Ability to learn to effectively manage time and resolve crises.
Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering product 150+ pounds unassisted or via team lift.
Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.
