Mobile Health Human Resources Manager in Port Washington, New York
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager, reporting to the VP of HR, will oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring they align with our company’s mission, core values, and strategic objectives. This role is dedicated to enhancing organizational performance by implementing effective people management practices, innovative HR strategies, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. The position will convert executive strategies into actionable policies, manage performance systems, and ensure legal compliance to drive productivity across the organization.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Support: Collaborate with the VP of HR to align HR strategies with business objectives, implement policies, and manage talent acquisition efforts.
Culture & Engagement: Work with the VP of HR to design and lead initiatives (e.g., surveys, wellness programs, events) that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Recruiting and Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for both corporate and clinical roles, ensuring alignment with Mobile Health’s staffing needs. Oversee the smooth onboarding of new hires and offboarding of exiting employees.
Welcome Orientation: Collaborate with the HR Generalist to plan, coordinate, and lead the company’s new-hire welcome orientation program, delivering a consistent and engaging onboarding experience that supports employee integration, alignment with company culture, and early productivity.
Employee Benefits Administration: Lead employee benefits administration in partnership with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), providing subject-matter support to employees, coordinating enrollments and changes, resolving benefits issues, and ensuring a high-quality employee experience.
Employee Relations: Cultivate a positive and supportive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns, supporting engagement initiatives, and promoting workplace morale in alignment with company values and policies.
HRIS and Intranet Management: Oversee the HR Information System (HRIS) and manage intranet content to ensure that resources are accessible and up to date.
Professional Development: Drive learning and development initiatives across corporate and clinical teams by identifying training needs, implementing development programs, and supporting continuous growth to enhance performance, engagement, and organizational capability.
Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and mentor the HR team, ensuring they provide effective support for HR initiatives and daily operations. Develop and implement clear career development pathways to foster growth and advancement within the team.
Compliance & Policy: Develop, enforce, and ensure adherence to company policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. Handle federal and state reporting requirements.
Performance Management: Establish and evolve a performance management system that integrates performance expectations, feedback, and evaluation with salary planning, career development pathways, and employee retention strategies, supporting organizational growth and accountability.
Intranet Management: Responsible for maintaining and updating the company’s intranet page.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager, with a proven track record of leading teams and advancing culture initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and employee retention.
Strong working knowledge of multi-state labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
Comprehensive understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures across the employee lifecycle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.
Extensive end-to-end recruiting experience, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for both corporate and clinical role.
Demonstrated experience utilizing HRIS platforms and leveraging technology to enhance HR operations and reporting.
Proven ability to manage and support remote teams effectively in a distributed work environment.
Strong experience fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging company culture aligned with organizational values and strategic goals.
MUST live within commuting distance of our Port Washington office.
