Michigan Metal Coatings Co seeks a Sales & Technical Marketing Specialist in Port Huron, MI.
Duties: This position is responsible for handling key customer accounts and supporting marketing efforts in the automotive and metal finishing industries. It involves coordinating technical sales activities and ensuring alignment between U.S. operations and Japanese business practices. The role supports the development and execution of sales and marketing plans for metal finishing and coating services targeting automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers. Responsibilities include driving customer communications, quoting, and order tracking to maintain and grow existing accounts. The specialist collaborates with engineering and production teams to prepare technical proposals and meet customer specifications. Conduct market research to identify industry trends and evolving customer needs. The role includes tracking sales metrics, creating marketing content, and participating in trade shows and presentations. The specialist also serves as a liaison, facilitating communication between U.S. and Japanese stakeholders. While the role is highly specialized and customer-facing, it does not involve budgetary responsibilities or staff supervision.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and five (5) years of experience in sales and/or marketing specialist or manager positions, or related roles. Understanding of Japanese business culture and language preferred
