CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Operations Manager to support our Production team in cross‑functional operational activities.
This role is responsible for leading people, processes, and performance to deliver safe, high-quality products on time, within costs, while continuously improving operations - while contributing to Plant SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.
What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities, not limited to)
Working within CpK policies, the collective agreement, and legislative requirements, formulate and administer procedures and controls to ensure safe working habits, personnel safety, and good housekeeping practices.
Ensure safety and security regulations are enforced and action is taken to correct unsafe work conditions.
Comply with the facility environmental policy and any applicable operational controls in order to meet the established environmental objectives and targets.
Comply with the facility’s World Class Manufacturing principles in order to meet the established targets and objectives.
Implement and maintain “5S” to ensure work areas are kept in neat and orderly condition.
Responsible for implementation of all manufacturing quality systems, and team performance with accountability to zero defects, through the identification of root cause.
In conjunction with the Quality Department, formulate timely and effective response to all corrective action requests raised by the customer or identified during internal audits.
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of manufacturing technical processes and control of manufacturing operating costs to ensure all product orders are produced and delivered on time with no shortfall in quality or quantity.
Leverage lean methodologies to identify waste and streamline processes, driving initiatives that enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through improved availability, performance, and quality across production operations.
Promote the philosophy of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) through the standardization of WCM methodology and the application and use of WCM tools.
Participate in the review and recommendation for capital improvement for equipment and plant facilities.
Provide leadership, direction and empowerment to manufacturing team, and act as a mentor to create accountability and personnel development opportunities.
Foster and maintain a positive labour relations environment by ensuring that all employees are treated with respect, grievances are addressed and employees are communicated with in an open manner.
Ensure policies and procedures are in accordance with IATF 16949 standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the environment.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business; engineering or equivalent post-secondary education
Minimum of eight (8) years of manufacturing experience with at least three (3) years in a management role, preferably within the automotive industry.
Experience in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles, with a proven record of accomplishment of successfully implementing process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience in injection moulding processes, with a strong understanding of production techniques and quality control measures specific to an injection moulding operation.
Must be strong, confident, hands-on leader with previous experience working under pressure in a fast paced, unionized environment.
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
Strong understanding and appreciation of plant, organization, departments, products and processes.
Solid understanding of Ontario EH&S legislation.
Strong analytical skills with application of and the ability to formulate business related plans/decisions, integrate these into the workplace, monitor and assess results.
Strong change management skills and the ability to influence and enact change within a unionized environment.
Work Schedule & Pay
Schedule: Full‑time, On-site, Manufacturing Plant
Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours. Weekend work depending on schedule as per customer demand
Overtime: As required, in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation
Compensation Range: $110,000 – 140,000 annually
This range reflects our current expectations as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical locations, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
