Front Desk Agent -- Hospitality with a Mission

Pay: $18.00+ per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Part-Time (with Full-Time potential as the season progresses)

About the Role:

As our Front Desk Agent, you are the "Chief First Impression Officer." You aren't just checking guests in; you are setting the tone for their entire stay and acting as an ambassador for our mission. We are looking for a friendly, quick-thinking individual who can provide "world-class" service while managing the moving parts of a busy hotel lobby.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet, check-in, and check-out guests with impeccable manners and a warm, welcoming energy.
- Reservations: Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, email, and 3rd party platforms.
- Problem Solving: Resolve guest concerns and conflicts on your feet while maintaining superior customer service standards.
- Communication: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest needs are met seamlessly.
- Mission Advocacy: Educate guests on our connection to Bayside Housing & Services.
- Operations: Follow the Front Desk Checklist, maintain organized paperwork, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1--3 years in Hospitality preferred, but we will train the right person with a great attitude.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Port Hadlock/Jefferson County area is a plus.
- Skills: Strong multitasking, organization, and professional verbal/written communication.
- Availability: Must be flexible. Our hotel is open 7 days a week; shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Compliance: Must obtain a Food Handler's Card within the first 30 days of employment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and twist for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
- Manual dexterity to handle office equipment and reach above/below shoulder level.
- Ability to maintain a positive mental attitude in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
