Quality Control Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 for half shaft assembly and shaft machining operations;
- Lead APQP deliverables and PPAP submissions from prototype through pre-series and series launch, developing Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, and work and inspection instructions;
- Interface with customers and suppliers on quality topics, apply customer specific requirements, and drive 8D and 5 Why root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions and effectiveness verification;
- Perform and oversee incoming, in process, and final inspection, track inbound and purchased part rejects, issue and close supplier corrective action requests, and maintain Quality Information System records;
- Perform process verification and layered process audits internally and at supplier sites, following up on nonconformance and closure timing;
- Monitor and report quality KPIs and execute SPC and MSA including gauge R&R;
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering on drawing requirements and design for manufacturability, and coordinate engineering change notices to protect launch and production quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field, a year of experience.
