Shift: Mon- Thurs 10 hours/day *Machine Tool Electrician Description: *
- Reading blueprints.
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Lay out, assemble, install, repair, maintain, connect and test electrical fixtures, apparatus control equipment and wiring for light, heat and power systems.
- Wiring conveyor and robotic weld lines.
- Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switches, relays, and transformers.
- Wire panels, Ethernet, auxiliary power, robots, and safety circuits.
- Cutting cable tray.
- Bend and install conduit.
- Wire 120V, 480V, and AC/DC circuits.
- Tie in tools/final dress of tools to controls.
- Run cords and dress tools.
- Ability to drill, tap, and ream holes.
- Layout, wiring and assembly of electrical panels and machine electronics.
- Troubleshooting.
- Debugging.
- Able to use all hand and power tools.
Education One-year certificate from college or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
