What You Can Expect
This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of Environmental Health and Safety over assigned site(s) including executing process safety management activities, evaluation of process risks including management of change and process hazard analysis, maintaining environmental compliance, and supporting worker’s compensation investigation and actions. Additionally, this role oversees workplace safety and behavior-based safety initiatives
How You'll Create Impact
Accountable for personal safety, the safety of fellow employees and contractors, and for promoting a safe work environment · Performs Process Hazard Analysis
Maintains compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state and local related regulations
Manages current air permits, EPA, and Stormwater, Hazardous Waste reporting requirements
Conducts New Hire Safety Orientation
Updates internal EHS procedures
Leads Emergency Response Team and ensures drills and trainings are completed to comply with TCPA and HAZWOPER requirements.
Organizes key safety related actions such as but not limited to: respirator training, and maintains all employee safety records · Coordinates RCRA, DOT, and Fork Lift Trainings as necessary
Completes Ergonomic improvement projects and conducts ergonomic assessments.
Manages Hazardous Waste program · Manages recycling and waste reduction efforts
Creates metrics and other KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis.
Responsible for Contractor Safety Program
Implement Behavior Based Safety Programs
Maintains Process Safety Information
Participates in or leads investigations
Manages Worker’s Compensation program with Occupational Health Nurse
Leads internal EHS Committees over all shifts
Reviews and evaluates process safety aspects of projects including equipment improvements, replacements or environmental projects
Effectively interface with other groups across the company to gain support for site goals then facilitate execution to assure success
Completes in accordance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP
Leads Department of Homeland Security compliance efforts is responsible for collecting and maintaining personal surety information.
Maintains budget and financial information.
Creates communications and announcements regarding safety awareness, regulatory compliance and EHS activities.
Manages pandemic disease response and provides updates to Leadership.

Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Environmental Health.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical, manufacturing or related industrial setting.
Master’s Degree or PE certification preferred.
Experience with OSHA PSM, HAZWOPER, and NJ TCPA standards, risk assessment methodologies, and API and NFPA standards. · Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
