As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Driver in Pompano Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to facility staff and visitors by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and promptly communicating updates through the chain of command.
Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per site protocols.
Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and security-related systems, and verify identification and/or credentials in accordance with post orders.
Complete routine reports, incident logs, and required check-ins, and coordinate with authorized personnel during scheduled activities, special events, and/or operational changes.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Have an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associates degree and/or 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
