The Engineering Intern will join the Turnpike Structures Maintenance team to assist in managing and overseeing various structural-related tasks. This role will involve supporting records management for all Turnpike structures and contributing to the preparation of final plans for projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing and managing the structures records database, including the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and SharePoint platforms.
Assisting with the compilation of final as-built plans for all structures involved in ongoing projects.
Performing data checks within the Bridge Management (BrM) system (CIDR) and updating the Bridge Work Order System database.
Reviewing and analyzing Inspection Reports and assisting with load rating assessments.
Conducting quality control reviews of structural inspections and repair activities to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
Enrollment in an accredited Engineering degree program.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Knowledge of Engineering principles, team dynamics, bridge components, and basic structural terminology.
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and plans;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and other relevant engineering tools.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Capable of interpreting engineering data and drawings.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
Effective at giving and receiving feedback, contributing to group efforts, and maintaining positive working relationships.
