Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a General Maintenance Associate! In this role you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, along with its grounds, systems, and related events.
Schedule: Part-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–1:30 PM, with possible overtime as needed.
Pay Rate: Starting at $21/hr and may be higher based on experience
Responsibilities:
Respond to associates’ maintenance requests and communications in a timely and professional manner and participate in projects with members of other teams, working closely with IT, HR & Facilities
Facilities Operations (50%)
Conduct routine inspections of premises, grounds, building systems, equipment, and furnishings
Organize supplies and maintain an accurate inventory
Palletizing and Sorting
Maintain building appearance inside and out; touch-up painting, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, maintaining lights, etc.
Detect and report the need for major maintenance or repairs
Facilitate and support associate moves and the resulting furniture adjustments
Sort pallets, keep a supply of good pallets at designated areas
Coordinate contractors when professional repairs are necessary
Maintain all hired facility vendors; landscaping, trash service, janitorial service etc.
Restock supply of boxes and maintain box storage locations stocked
Support and assist associates with assembly and installation/mounting of equipment and furnishings
Organization and ongoing maintenance of storage areas, warehouse/loading areas & custodial/janitorial equipment areas
Maintain records and documentation on all implemented equipment and building systems
Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, relevant codes and standards, and established procedures
Understand the correct selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Remediate and/or report safety hazards to your supervisor and take appropriate action
Janitorial/Custodial (30%)
Ensure overall cleanliness of the building, keeping it maintained and in good condition
Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as grounds and parking lots
Ensure restrooms are kept stocked, and that cleaning supplies are kept in stock
As needed, clean up spills and collect and dispose of trash
Hospitality Support (20%)
Maintain equipment and appliances in the break rooms & reception area
Set up and take down for any events, brand days, holidays, etc.
Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
Qualifications:
General maintenance experience
Prior experience using common mechanical tools
Forklift experience is preferred
Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions
Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly.
Digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft 365 products
Good communication skills
Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
