AON Senior Counsel in Poland, Poland
Are you an experienced commercial contracts lawyer ready to take on complex, global work?
Do you want to collaborate closely with senior stakeholders on high‑impact technology and procurement deals?
Join Aon as a Commercial Contract Attorney and help shape better decisions every day!
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our Aon offices (preferred alignment to U.S. time zones). Specific working arrangements will align with the in‑country Smart Working policy.
Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
What the day will look like
You will be a valued member of the Corporate Law group within Aon’s Law & Compliance Department, focusing primarily on procurement and commercial contracts across a broad range of technology and services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating several types of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, statements of work, software license agreements, and software‑as‑a‑service (SaaS) agreements, along with other sourcing, IT and technology‑related contracts.
Identifying, assessing, and clearly explaining legal and commercial risks, particularly in areas including AI, privacy, and data protection.
Providing pragmatic, strategic legal advice on commercial issues to senior partners, supporting them in balancing legal risks with business objectives.
Working closely with Aon’s global spend management function on material supplier contracts within a third‑party spend of more than $2 billion globally.
Collaborating with colleagues across regions, functions, and time zones in a large multinational, shared‑services environment, while managing multiple projects and priorities in an agile, fast‑paced setting.
How this opportunity is different
This is a senior, visible role at the heart of Aon’s global corporate initiatives. In this role, you will:
Build strong partnerships with senior internal stakeholders around the world, including the global Chief Procurement Officer and regional procurement leaders.
Contribute to high‑value, high‑profile commercial and technology deals that are critical to Aon’s operations.
Act as a trusted advisor, not just a contract reviewer, helping to shape strategy and support risk‑balanced decisions.
Join a collaborative, globally connected Corporate Law team that welcomes different viewpoints, curiosity, creativity, and strong business acumen.
Gain exposure to innovative topics such as artificial intelligence, complex tech procurement, and evolving regulatory environments, with the opportunity to grow and deepen your subject‑matter expertise.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualified attorney with a minimum of 8 years of commercial contracting experience, including experience in a law firm.
Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts (including IT services and products, consulting and professional services).
Experience advising senior partners on commercial legal issues, with the ability to balance risk and commercial benefit and adapt negotiations based on risk assessments.
Experience working across time zones in a large, matrixed multinational organization, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive approach.
High level of curiosity, creativity, and eye for business, with a bias for action and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a supportive team environment.
