Summary You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE POINT LOMA SEC DET. Responsibilities You will respond to and investigate complaints while enforcing state and federal laws and regulations. You will conduct preliminary investigations in response to calls for assistance (e.g., alarms, complaints, irregularities, incidents, unusual or suspicious circumstances). You will coordinate emergency response for calls concerning complaints or reports of violations. You will perform law enforcement duties at fixed post entrance and exit gates to control vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Inspecting packages/personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled areas 4. Responding to emergency calls for service while adhering to state and federal laws. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
