B&B Sprinkler Service Technician / Sprinkler Systems in Pocatello, Idaho

Local sprinkler installation company is seeking multiple Sprinkler Service Technicians for the Pocatello area. Applicants should have at least six months of experience repairing residential lawn sprinkler systems; however, the employer is willing to train the right candidate. A clean driving record is required, with no DUI convictions within the past three years. This is a full-time, seasonal position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Starting wage is \$18 per hour, with higher pay depending on experience.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Installation Responsibilities
- Assist in installing residential and commercial lawn sprinkler systems
- Dig trenches, lay pipe, set sprinkler heads, and install valves and timers
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and trenching equipment safely
- Follow site plans, layouts, and instructions from lead installers
- Ensure clean, level installation of heads, pipe, and drip lines
- Backfill trenches and restore landscaping disturbed during installation
Service & Repair Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot system issues such as broken heads, leaks, wiring faults, and valve failures
- Perform seasonal services including system startups, winterization, and adjustments
- Repair or replace sprinkler heads, nozzles, timers, drip lines, and damaged piping
- Diagnose coverage problems and adjust heads for proper distribution
- Test system pressure, zones, and overall performance
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and property managers
- Explain service findings, recommended repairs, and system usage to customers
- Maintain a positive, respectful attitude on job sites
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company, job site, and equipment safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Use PPE and follow safe trenching and equipment operation guidelines
General Work Expectations
- Arrive on time and ready to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work efficiently as part of a team, taking direction from supervisors or lead techs
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain tools and report damaged equipment
- Drive company vehicles when required (if authorized)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Frequent bending, digging, kneeling, and working on uneven terrain
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and wet conditions
