As a Scrum Master within PNC's Retail Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ, Lakewood, CO or Philadelphia, PA.

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery by guiding and coaching Scrum teams to achieve effective, predictable outcomes. This role is responsible for facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting Agile best practices, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology Leads to ensure teams are aligned with enterprise Agile standards and governance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Coach Scrum teams on Agile and Scrum best practices to drive consistent and predictable delivery

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology Leads to ensure user stories are well‑defined, estimated, and ready for sprint execution

• Identify, track, and help resolve team impediments, risks, and dependencies that impact delivery

• Promote transparency and accountability through clear metrics, reporting, and communication

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team maturity, velocity, and quality

• Ensure alignment with PNC Agile delivery standards and enterprise governance expectations

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master on Agile technology teams

• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile principles, and iterative delivery models

• Hands‑on experience using Jira for sprint planning, backlog management, and Agile reporting

• Proficiency with Confluence for Agile documentation, team artifacts, and knowledge sharing

• Experience working effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment

• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills:

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)

• Experience supporting enterprise‑scale Agile delivery, preferably within financial services or regulated environments

• Familiarity with additional Agile and DevOps tools, such as dashboards, collaboration platforms, or CI/CD visibility tools

Job Description

  • Supports and facilitates generally one to two Scrum Teams in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices.

  • Ensures team adherence to Agile principles. Provides coaching to the Scrum Team(s) on how to execute the Scrum framework.

  • Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk. Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.

  • Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team. Protects the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities.

  • Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $140,300.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
