Title: Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Plymouth, MN (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Range: $45/hr to $49/hr (On W2)
Shift Time: 08:30am to 05:30pm
We are looking for a “Sr.Manufacturing Engineer“ to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Job Summary:
The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer works closely with cross-functional Value Stream teams to design, develop, standardize, and implement Operational Excellence methods aimed at continuously improving manufacturing system performance. This role requires a strong influencer and facilitator with a proven track record of managing change.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in identification and planning of department goals and budgets, and support initiatives intended to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Support productivity, quality, process efficiency, space utilization, standardization, and lead time improvement efforts with Value Stream teams.
Support Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC problem-solving initiatives.
Drive incorporation of Lean tools such as 5S, time study, line balancing, standard work, material flow, and value stream mapping.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide input into departmental budgeting processes as required.
May supervise and provide work direction to engineers and technicians.
Support company initiatives and ensure compliance with QMS, EMS, FDA regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
Maintain positive communication with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
BS in Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years manufacturing engineering experience; medical device experience preferred.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings.
Six Sigma or Lean Certification preferred.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel approximately 15–30%, including internationally.
