Occupational Therapist (OT)

School Year & Summer School Opportunity

Plymouth, MA

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Plymouth, MA and is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2025–2026 school year and a summer school program.

School Year Position Details

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Duration: 2025–2026 school year

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:45 AM–3:30 PM

  • Hours: 32 hours per week

  • Pay Rate: Up to $60/hour

  • Location: Plymouth, MA

Start & Transition Timeline

  • March 18–20: Shadow current OT (2.5 days)

  • March 23: Current OT begins leave

  • June 15: Expected end date

  • Extended School Year (ESY): Very likely

Caseload & Responsibilities

  • Approximately 40–45 students

  • Includes work within the school’s autism program

  • Supervision required: OT will supervise a COTA

  • COTA is shared with another school in the district

Summer School OT Position (Preschool Program)

The school is also seeking an OT specifically for summer school.

  • Program Dates: July 7 – August 6

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

  • Hours: 15 hours per week

  • Program Length: 5 weeks

  • Orientation: One 3.5-hour orientation day on July 6

  • Setting: Summer preschool program

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice

  • One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
