Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a manufacturing engineer with a strong experience in automotive die casting. This role involves supporting daily production and contributing to new product launches. You will play a crucial part in troubleshooting and optimizing the die casting process and will be integral in planning and executing new equipment acquisition for upcoming product lines.
Responsibilities
Support daily production activities by attending morning meetings to review previous day performance and address current day challenges.
Troubleshoot downtime and cycle time issues in the die cast production area to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Participate in new product launches by identifying necessary equipment and preparing Statements of Work (SOW) for equipment procurement.
Obtain vendor quotes, engage in negotiation processes, and prepare presentations for corporate approval of capital expenditures.
Manage new equipment installation and collaborate on tool design to ensure successful product launches.
Familiarize with 3D modeling to take measurements and understand quality documents required for Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Essential Skills
High-pressure die casting experience is a must.
Proficiency in reading CMM layouts and understanding automotive industry documents.
Strong communication skills, evident in both interviews and resume presentation.
5+ years of experience in an engineering function, specifically in automotive die casting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in CAD/CAM is a plus.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Ergonomics.
BS in a manufacturing-related field.
Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, etc.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.
