Schluter Systems Lp/UMS Manufacturing Project Manager in Plattsburgh, New York
he Project Manager is part of the Global Corporate Development Department (CDEV). Corporate Development supports the Schluter group of companies in the realization of change initiatives which reinforce the corporate vision and continued development of the company. The Project Manager will support the organization through the execution of services which helps the organization realize initiatives within a structured framework, with the purpose to share knowledge, handle complex integration aspects effectively, and improve collaboration, communication and transparency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In Daily Business:
Support of the Business Change Manager and Project Program Manager in the Business Project Program Assists in the development and continuous improvement of Change Management and Project Program Management methods, tools, and templates Provides support for ongoing training Supports the department in process development Organization and execution of meetings, workshops and training In Change Orders / Projects:
Responsible for all aspects of project management for assigned Business Projects or Change Orders. Support the business in ensuring the proper application of the Change Management /Project Program Processes, tools, and templates, for example: Preparing change requests, work packages, decision requests, etc. Perform (as) and support Project Leads as needed in ensuring the proper application of Project Management methods, tools, and templates Perform (as) and support Project Leads in organizing project work, for example: Plan, coordinate and help moderate meetings and workshop Preparing work packages, issues, decision requests, etc. Creating new tools & templates, necessary and relevant to the project Additional duties as assigned by management Act as a fully integrated member of the CDEV department performing necessary services as requested from the portfolio Requirements
B.A. Degree in a relevant field
Proficiency in MS Office Applications
3-5 years of professional experience in project management
Minimum of 3 years of experience with project management applications
Candidates will be expected to prepare and moderate meetings and workshops extensively and should be comfortable presenting to groups from all levels within the organization and a variety of cultural backgrounds
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Experience managing competing priorities in a business environment.
Strong analytical and conceptual strength
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including tact in dealing with people in change processes.
Ability to lead, communicate, engage, and encourage others to participate in change initiatives and standard process procedures.
Demonstrate experience with Agile ways of working (LEAN, Six Sigma and/or Scrum certifications considered an asset)
Some international travel is required, and candidates must possess a valid U.S. Passport
Willingness to comply with all company policies
Represent Schluter Systems L.P. in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner in all matters
English language skills (writing), German language skills advantageous but not required
