Robert Half Legal Assistant in Plantation, Florida
Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Plantation, Florida. In this role, you will support our tobacco litigation department by handling various legal tasks and ensuring efficiency in case management. This is a contract position, offering both ongoing and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling options.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed deposition summaries for review and case preparation.
• Create organized chronologies from medical records to support case arguments.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of legal filings.
• Save and manage pleadings in the appropriate case files.
• Facilitate the collection and review of medical bills and liens.
• Manage e-filing processes for court documents and ensure timely submissions.
• Maintain and update case calendars to track important deadlines and meetings.
• Provide litigation support, including drafting correspondence and coordinating with attorneys. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years.
• Proficiency in e-filing and court filing systems.
• Strong skills in calendar management and deadline tracking.
• Experience preparing deposition summaries and medical chronologies.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and legal documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
