Actalent Data Entry Pharmacy Technician in Plantation, Florida

Actalent is hiring for pharmacy Technician with no weekends!

Job Description

The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician provides high-quality customer service and accurate prescription processing in a busy specialty pharmacy setting. This role focuses on handling inbound and outbound calls, entering and verifying prescription and patient information, coordinating refills and deliveries, and supporting pharmacological services while adhering to HIPAA privacy and security regulations. The technician serves as a key point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate medication fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls to provide information and resolve customer inquiries regarding pharmacy services.

  • Verify insurance coverage and facilitate prior authorization requests.

  • Accurately transcribe prescriptions and generate reports following the cycle fill calendar.

  • Coordinate delivery and serve as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries.

  • Support pharmacological services by editing the fill list verification, including insurance information and billing.

  • Enter patient information into patient records accurately and completely, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy technician certification

  • 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician

  • Strong data entry and typing skills

  • Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plantation, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
