JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer (Multiple Positions Available) in Plano, Texas

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications, ensuring robust backend architecture and dynamic user interfaces to enhance engagement and outcomes. Oversee backend and frontend integration for seamless user experiences across platforms. Manage cloud-based application deployment, optimizing for availability, performance, and scalability. Automate infrastructure provisioning with infrastructure as code for efficient deployment processes. Architect and maintain cloud-based data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security. Spearhead the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and methodologies, enhancing development processes and performance. Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships, aligning on goals and delivering solutions that exceed expectations. Champion best practices in software development, fostering continuous improvement and excellence. Mentor junior developers, providing support for professional growth. Lead third-party service and API integration, expanding functionality and value. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment of features and updates. Conduct performance tuning, analyzing metrics to enhance efficiency and responsiveness. Implement caching, load balancing, and optimization techniques to improve speed and reduce latency. Collaborate with teams to resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high-quality applications. Advocate for user-centric design, creating intuitive interfaces that enhance satisfaction. Ensure solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, conducting audits to protect data integrity. Lead disaster recovery planning for business continuity. Develop and maintain documentation for transparency and knowledge sharing. Engage in proactive problem-solving, identifying challenges early and devising strategic solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Lead, Application Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: utilizing Java programming to develop robust backend solutions with Spring Boot for high-performance, scalable applications; building dynamic, responsive interfaces with ReactJS to enhance user engagement; working with AWS to deploy and optimize applications using services including DynamoDB and S3 for scalability; utilizing Terraform for efficient, reliable infrastructure provisioning and management; working with cloud-based databases including Amazon RDS DBS and Amazon DynamoDB; utilizing data lakes and Snowflake for data warehousing to drive data-driven decision-making; leading the software development lifecycle from concept to deployment to ensure quality; optimizing Java applications, ReactJS interfaces, and cloud data processing to improve speed and reduce latency for faster systems, applications, or processes; designing robust CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployment of features and updates; utilizing tools such as OWASP ZAP or Snyk to identify and mitigate security risks and implement secure coding practices; and utilizing security standards to conduct audits to protect data integrity and maintain compliance.
