About the role

This role focuses on developing high‑quality, scalable software applications using SQL Server, C#, .NET Framework, Angular 17+, JavaScript, and AWS . You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and user‑centric solutions while contributing to continuous improvement across development practices, tools, and processes. In this role, you will:

· Develop and maintain robust software applications using SQL Server, C#, and the .NET Framework to support business needs and enhance system performance.

· Design and implement scalable front‑end solutions using Angular 17+ and JavaScript , ensuring an intuitive and optimized user experience.

· Leverage AWS to build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud‑based applications.

· Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and issue resolution to ensure software quality and reliability.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

· Integrate new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency and project outcomes.

· Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards to ensure successful execution.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge to enhance systems and processes.

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards and best practices.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry regulations throughout the development lifecycle.

· Document software processes, systems, and technical decisions to support knowledge sharing and future reference.

· Travel as needed to collaborate with global teams and ensure alignment across projects.

What you need to have to be considered

· Strong expertise in SQL Server, C#, and the .NET Framework , with a proven ability to build high‑quality software solutions.

· Proficiency in Angular 17+ and JavaScript for developing dynamic, responsive web applications.

· Hands‑on experience with AWS for implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions.

· Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, especially in debugging and optimizing applications.

· Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

· Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
