Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Plano East outpatient clinic. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality physical therapy services and help patients achieve their functional goals.
Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities as appropriate
Monitor patient performance and report progress or changes to the Physical Therapist
Instruct patients in safe and effective home exercise programs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Educate patients and families about therapy goals, safety, and treatment expectations
Assist in maintaining clinic organization and ensuring a safe, clean environment
Participate in team meetings and contribute to coordinated patient care
Support quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Texas PTA license
Valid BLS/CPR certification
Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and modalities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
Excellent documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional growth
Experience or interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, or outpatient care preferred
