This onsite Pharmacy Technician role focuses on accurately fulfilling patient medication orders so that patients receive their prescriptions on time. Working under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations Central Fill and a Team Lead, the Pharmacy Technician supports medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient safety while helping to facilitate medication orders that promote adherence to treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Assist with the accurate and timely fulfillment of patient medication orders to ensure on-time delivery of prescriptions.
Support the medication dispensing process under the direction and supervision of the Director of Operations Central Fill and Team Lead.
Handle prescription refills and order processing in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting.
Operate and support automated medication dispensers as part of the fulfillment workflow.
Contribute to inventory management by helping to track, organize, and replenish medications and supplies.
Follow established procedures and safety protocols to support patient safety throughout the dispensing process.
Facilitate patient medication orders to support compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain an efficient, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operation.
Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with pharmacy regulations and internal policies.
Adhere to all Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations and professional standards while performing daily tasks.
Essential Skills
Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license (no trainees).
Pharmacy technician certification.
Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting.
Hands-on experience with prescription fulfillment and prescription refills.
Experience working with automated medication dispensers.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications and orders.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work under supervision within established procedures.
Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a central fill or high-volume fulfillment environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflows and systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented pharmacy setting.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position in a pharmacy environment that supports a central fill operation. The role involves working closely with a pharmacy team and supporting prescription fulfillment and refill processing, including the use of automated medication dispensers and related pharmacy technologies. The standard work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The environment is structured, process-driven, and focused on accuracy, safety, and timely delivery of medications.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
