Aerotek Material Handler in Plano, Texas

Job Title: Material Handler Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining inventory store organization and conducting cycle counts. This role involves issuing materials out of the stock room, kitting special projects, and accurately picking, counting, and labeling parts for production operations according to pick lists. Additionally, the Material Handler will document shortage information, enter data into SAP, audit, and re-shelve returned kits while following materials handling and ESD control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory store organization and cycle count.

  • Issue materials out of stock room and kit special projects such as PCP, Sales Orders, ECN, NCR, RMA.

  • Accurately pick, count, and label parts for production operations according to pick lists.

  • Document shortage information and enter data into SAP.

  • Audit and re-shelve returned kits.

  • Follow materials handling and ESD control procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, specifically Windows.

  • Material handling experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.

  • Organized and detail-oriented.

  • Oracle 11i experience is a plus.

  • Previous electronic manufacturing experience is an asset.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including daily and weekly overtime.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, indoors, and climate-controlled. You will work closely with a team of 4-5 other individuals. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
