Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our fast-paced, dynamic team supporting a leading biotechnology client. In this role, you will manage and oversee all logistics and transportation operations at our Plano, TX facility, ensuring smooth, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of materials while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipping activities at the Plano, TX site, providing support to Warehouse and Shipping staff.
Develop and implement logistics strategies and standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics operations with overall business objectives.
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of a variety of shipments, including:
Clinical doses
Raw materials and lab supplies
R&D samples
Empty Type A package returns
Used generator returns for recycling
Manage vendor relationships and contracts with selected couriers.
Coordinate audit and inspection activities with vendors.
Administer the FedEx platform and other relevant shipping accounts for the Plano facility.
Coordinate deliveries with carriers, recipients, and internal teams (Clinical Supply, GMP, Quality, and R&D).
Serve as the primary shipper and consignee for hazardous materials and international shipments.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience, preferably in a regulated or biotechnology environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping and international logistics preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.INDBH#LI-MG1
