Job Title: Component Prep Assembler Job Description
Engage in the manual assembly of electronic components, including complex and high-density projects, following detailed assembly documents, custom specifications, and quality standards. Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality assurance standards and internal standard operating procedures. You will perform inspection and rework of through-hole (TH), surface-mount technology (SMT), mixed assemblies, and custom parts as per engineering specifications and respective IPC workmanship standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for component preparation, placement, and installation, as well as mechanical and final assembly, packing, and shipping as required. Participation in training and certification programs to ensure knowledge and skillset requirements are met is essential. You will operate various types of equipment aiding in the assembly process.
Responsibilities
Manually assemble electronic components as per specifications.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and SOPs.
Inspect and rework TH, SMT, and mixed assemblies.
Prepare, place, and install components.
Perform mechanical and final assembly tasks, pack and ship products.
Participate in training and certification programs.
Operate equipment to aid in the assembly process.
Essential Skills
Ability to identify colors.
Strong communication skills.
Minimum 2 years of electronic assembly experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SMT/TH or mixed tech-assemblies (hand-soldering, inspection, rework).
Experience in electronic or manufacturing companies.
Comprehension of assembly documents.
Experience in reworking SMT/TH components.
Setup, maintenance, and calibration of test stations.
Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and test software.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing environment. Hours are from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, with optional overtime. The role involves mostly sitting down.

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
